Summer reading

The season has ended for many teams around the world, and our Evolution blog will also be taking  post-season break. Over the last 10 months, we’ve been sharing our own thoughts and ideas as to how football clubs can achieve competitive edge and build sustainable success.

Broadly, our blogs have focused on talent management, future planning and strategic analytics, and  these are the most popular posts from each month:

August: What if the way we pay our players is wrong?

September: The wages = wins fallacy

October: When is a crisis not a crisis?

November: Will this help us win?

December: Football’s ticking clock

January: The romantic nerd

February: Thinking about our assets

March: Who else is doing this?

April: The journey of a successful team

May: Did you exceed expectations?

For those with the opportunity to enjoy a summer break, our hope is that you may also take inspiration from the above topics and that at least one idea makes a difference to your plans for the new season.  Because for two months, the second and minute hands of football’s ticking clock go silent, and we can turn our attention to the hour hand. Make the most of it, and enjoy.
