Investing in our people
I’m incredibly excited about the team we’re building at 21st Club.
Today Omar Chaudhuri has signed a contract to join us on a full-time basis. Omar comes armed with a First Class degree in Economics, two years experience at Prozone Sports and, moreover, Omar brings with him bundles of Contextual Intelligence that makes him a huge asset for our growing ‘club’.
(By the way, Omar is also the author of the excellent 5 Added Minutes blog, which I’d highly recommend you follow).
Omar joins a team of smart and passionate data scientists, software engineers, creative designers, consultants and industry experts who are focused on helping our clients connect with their audiences and achieve competitive edge.
At 21st Club, we firmly believe that our people are our biggest asset. When he first invested in the business, our (now) company Chairman, Compton Hellyer, told me that he invests in people and not business plans (thankfully we had one of those too).
We’re now applying that mantra to our own recruitment strategy; we hire smart and hungry talent with high potential and we’re not afraid to take a chance on youth. I’m perhaps in the unenviable position of now being the oldest person on the payroll – aside from David Sheepshanks CBE and Compton in their Executive capacity – but I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve assembled. None more so than my co-founder Rasmus Ankersen, who last week became the new Chairman of the Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland.
Welcome Omar and huge congratulations to Rasmus.
